World University Championships
The World University Championships (WUC) are part of the sporting events of the International University Sports Federation. Alternating with the Summer and Winter Universiades, they are organized every even-numbered year.

Dates: 10-12 August 2018
Events Offered: Eight (8+), Coxless Four (4-), Coxless Pair (2-), Double Sculls (2x), Single Sculls (1x), Lightweight Coxless 4 (L4-), Lightweight Double (2x), Lightweight Single (1x) for both men and women.
Eligibility: The FISU Universiades and Championships are open to all student athletes that have not been out of university or an equivalent institution for more than a year, and that are aged between 17 and 25. All athletes who are interested will need to fulfill the ECG & Health Screening Requirements, please note that the deadlines will be updated over the next month so check back regularly.
Camp Beginning Dates: Thu 31 May 2018 (for any ACRA competitors), Tue 06 Jun 2018 (for any IRA competitors)
Camp Ending Dates: 12 Aug 2018, post competition in China
Training Location: Eastern Michigan Women’s Boathouse, 10049 Textile Rd, Ford Lake, Ypsilanti, Michigan

Selection to Team: Submit an application to the team via the link below. Applications are accepted through January 31st. Selection will be finalized by February 28th and athletes notified on a rolling basis. If accepted to the team you will be racing in the WUC, selection to crews being determined through the camp. Those who cannot attend an ID camp are welcome and encouraged to apply, and all scores submitted will need to be verified by your coach. It is important you include links to clips of you rowing in that application, and coxswains at least two recordings (on of practice, one of racing). Note: If you are accepted to the WUC team you will not be able to do both the Under 23 team and WUC.
