Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Program directors need to ensure that a safety program has been systematically developed. Coaches need to be practicing the program and enforcing its rules. Finally, athletes need to be responsible for their station in the boat and being aware of what is going on around them on the water and in the boathouse.
USRowing has provided documents that may be helpful in developing or reviewing your safety program and links to other safety pages from rowing clubs and other resources.
We encourage you to send USRowing information concerning safety that others in the community may find useful.
