USRowing to Participate in Communiversity 2012

April 27, 2012

PRINCETON, N.J. – Visit the United States Rowing Association booth at Communiversity on Saturday, April 28, from noon to 5 p.m. in Princeton, N.J. Hosted by the Arts Council of Princeton and Princeton University, the event takes place on Nassau and Witherspoon Streets, in Palmer Square green and throughout the university campus.

The festival, which is free and open to the public, will give the community a chance to learn more about USRowing, the national governing body for the sport of rowing in the United States. Try out a rowing machine, enter a raffle to win team gear and get to know the elite athletes training for the London 2012 Olympic Games. The first 100 people to visit the USRowing booth will get a free Row to London t-shirt.

Communiversity features more than 200 artists, crafters and merchants; continuous live entertainment on five stages; children’s activities and games; a wide array of food from around the globe; and a broad representation of the many businesses and organizations that play a prominent role in the vibrant life of the Princeton community.

USRowing’s national team athletes train at both the Finn M.W. Caspersen Rowing Center on Lake Mercer in West Windsor, N.J., as well as the Princeton University Boathouse on Lake Carnegie on Princeton University’s campus.
