Meet the U.S. National Rowing Team at Palmer Square
April 18, 2011
PRINCETON, N.J. – Palmer Square will once again host the U.S. National Team on Saturday, May 7, from 1 to 3 p.m. on the green in Princeton, N.J. The event, presented by Athletes on the Water, USRowing and Palmer Square Management, is free and open to the public. Members of the Princeton community will get a chance to meet 2012 Olympic hopefuls and members of the U.S. Women’s National Rowing Team.
Olympic and national team athletes training for the 2012 Olympic Games in London will be on-site to autograph team posters and athlete trading cards. In addition, rowing machines and rowing shells will be on display.
“Being a part of the Princeton community is a big part of the Olympic journey,” said 2010 world champion Esther Lofgren. “We are just over a year out from the 2012 Olympic Games. We want to share our sport, our team and our dream with the community.”
