USRowing Announces PR3 Mixed Four with Coxswain to 2017 National Team

PRINCETON, N.J. — USRowing is pleased to introduce the five athletes that will be representing the United States by competing in the PR3 Mixed Four with Coxswain at the 2017 World Rowing Championships held in Sarasota, Fla.

Danielle Hansen (Patterson, Calif.; University of Washington)
Zachary Burns (Ann Arbor, Mich.; University of Michigan)
Mike Varro (Spooner, Wis.; University of Minnesota)
Jaclyn Smith (Williston Park, N.Y.; Sacred Heart University)
With four of the five athletes named returning from the 2016 Paralympic line-up, the crew looks to improve upon an already impressive silver medal finish at last year’s games. Jenny Sichel, Danielle Hansen, Zachary Burns and Jaclyn Smith are all returning members of the 2016 Paralympic Team.
“I’m really excited about the PR3 Mixed Four this year,” said Tom Darling, Director of Para Rowing. “I am looking forward to seeing their speed in Sarasota next month.”
The full U.S. National Team roster will be announced by August 28. The five remaining boats to be nominated from selection camps include the men’s and women’s fours, women’s quadruple sculls, and the men’s and women’s eights.
