PRINCETON, N.J. – USRowing is pleased to announce that the organization has partnered with CaptainU to improve the recruiting experience by bridging the gap among athletes, parents and college coaches.
“We are excited to partner with USRowing and offer their youth members the recruiting resources to compete in college,” said CaptainU Director of Business Development, Bernie Taracevicz. “With the rising popularity of high-school rowing, this is the perfect opportunity for US Rowing to provide their members with valuable tools to connect directly with collegiate rowing programs.”
By providing members with a free recruiting profile, CaptainU enables athletes to host erg scores and academic info, search for rowing colleges and find which programs are the best fit, connect directly with college coaches and learn how to navigate the recruiting process.
“Providing quality benefits to our members is a priority for USRowing,” said USRowing Acting CEO Susan Smith. “Partnering with CaptainU offers numerous benefits to our youth members while bridging the gap between rowers and their futures. This collaboration is a win-win for both organizations and will allow potential collegiate student-athletes to follow their dreams of rowing in college.”
Parents and athletes with aspirations of rowing in college are welcome to attend informational sessions during lunch breaks at the 2017 USRowing Youth National Championships and the 2017 USRowing Club National Championships. Topics covered will include: differences between rowing at the varsity or club level, recruiting timelines and initial eligibility. CaptainU will be on hand to share how athletes can get the most out of the recruiting process and get all the tools necessary to take the next step in their collegiate careers.
