The 2016 campaign was a success for the Pittsburgh club, as numerous TRRA athletes raced their way to medal podiums across the United States, taking top finishes at the USRowing Club National Championships, USRowing Masters National Championships and the strongest showing the club has ever had at the 52nd Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston.
The organization shines in its youth, masters, and adaptive programs while still pursuing many new pockets of athletes with numerous “Learn to Row” opportunities throughout the year. TRRA also hosted the 30th Head of the Ohio Regatta in October and continues to provide programming for all ages, experience levels and abilities.
TRRA won the inaugural Club of the Year Award in 2002, 2010 and then again in 2013. TRRA will be honored at the 2016 USRowing Annual Convention, Dec. 1-4 in Springfield, Mass.
