Virginia, Humboldt State and Williams Top Final 2012 USRowing/CRCA Women’s Collegiate Rowing Polls

Virginia, Humboldt State and Williams College earned No. 1 rankings in this year’s final USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association poll presented by Pocock Racing Shells.
Virginia received all 25 first-place votes to earn the top spot in the final Division I ranking of the year. Virginia won the team title at last weekend’s 2012 NCAA Division I Women’s Rowing Championship. Michigan ranked second, followed by California, Princeton and Ohio State.
In Division II, Humboldt State received all five first-place votes after winning the 2012 NCAA Division II Women’s Rowing Championship at Mercer Lake. Western Washington ranked second, followed by Nova Southeastern, Mercyhurst and Central Oklahoma.
Williams earned all 10 first-place votes in the Division III poll after winning its seventh consecutive NCAA Division III Women’s Rowing Championship. Bates ranked second, followed by William Smith, Wellesley and Marietta.
