USRowing Announces 2012 Men’s Under 23 National Team Sculling Camp Invitations

PRINCETON, N.J. – USRowing is pleased to announce that 19 athletes have been invited to the 2012 Men’s U23 National Team Sculling Camp in Norwalk, Conn., hosted by Maritime Rowing Club.
The camp, coached by Yan Vengerovskiy, will select the men’s quadruple sculls that will compete at the World Rowing Under 23 Championships July 11-15 in Trakai, Lithuania. In addition, the camp may select men’s double sculls crews that will compete at the USRowing Under 23 National Team Trials June 24-27 in West Windsor, N.J. A full team roster will be named by July 1.
The U.S. won four medals at the 2011 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, including gold in the women’s pair and men’s eight, and bronze in the women’s eight and lightweight men’s single sculls.
