Learn To Row
The 16th-annual National Learn to Row Day sponsored by USRowing and Concept2 will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017, in rowing clubs and health clubs throughout the United States. Competitive and recreational rowers range in age from 12 to over 90, so it is never too early or too late to take up the sport.
What is National Learn to Row Day?
National Learn to Row Day is always the first Saturday of June. The day is set as a national awareness for learning to row. Clubs all over the United States participate on this day because of the national recognition it receives, as well as the promotional material that are distributed.
How can I participate in National Learn to Row Day?
Any club can participate as long as it is a current and active member of USRowing. Register today!
What are the fees associated with the event?
The great thing about this event is that it’s free to member organizations. Just for participating, you will receive a 3×5 National Learn to Row Day banner, along with several posters to place around town and brochures to pass out.
Do I have to take out extra insurance coverage for the members learning to row?
No. Your standard USRowing liability coverage will be enough for this event. However, if these members join your club and become active rowing members, you might have to move to a higher member tier.
What kind of publicity does USRowing give our club for participating?
USRowing will provide you with a 3×5 banner, posters and brochures for you to display in your community. In addition, watch for sample press releases to send to your local paper, along with suggestions on how to get more publicity for your club.
What are the benefits of participating?
USRowing supports all rowing-related activities throughout the United States. We want to support your club as you seek to teach others how to row. By becoming part of our National Learn to Row Day program, you are becoming part of a national initiative to promote rowing.
