Annual Convention

The 2013 USRowing Annual Convention will be held December 5-8, 2013, in Seattle, Wash.

Programming will be available for a variety of interests within the rowing community.

Planned Program

Advanced Coaches Conference: Returning for a third year, USRowing's Advanced Coaches Conference has brought coaching education to the next level. Past speakers have included internationally accomplished coaches such as USRowing's Tom Terhaar, Thomas Poulsen of Denmark, and coach/author Volker Nolte.

In 2013, USRowing will be partnering with the Kossev Consortium to continue to provide the high level of programming for which the Advanced Coaches Conference is quickly becoming known.

Take advantage of the limited time "Early Bird Special" below to secure your spot at the conference at the 2012 price.

"Business of Rowing": Also returning for a third year will be the well-regarded "Business of Rowing" sessions that have brought club administrators together from around the country. Executive Directors, board members, Presidents, and anyone with an interest in the business side are encouraged to attend these sessions that will focus on providing an atmosphere of idea-sharing on business topics.

Coaching Certification: Coaches interested in securing their Level 1 or 2 Coaching Certification will have the opportunity to complete the necessary course work during the Annual Convention.

Referee Clinics: USRowing Referees will find opportunities to develop their skill set with instructional clinics and learning opportunities specifically designed to meet their needs.

Junior Day: Junior rowers and parents are invited to a day of programming designed to address the unique challenges facing junior rowers. Past topics have included college recruitment and information on the Junior National Team.

Association Meetings: The USRowing Annual Convention hosts a number of meetings for a variety of groups each year, including the USRowing Youth Advisory Committee, USRowing Referee Committee, and USRowing Board of Directors.

Receptions and Social Events

Vendor Reception: The vendor reception will be held Friday, December 6, 2013. The reception provides a kick-off to the Advanced Coaches Conference, and an opportunity to highlight the vendors and sponsors that support USRowing events. Attendees receive two complimentary drink tickets with their registration for applicable programming.

USRowing Annual Awards Reception: This is the last opportunity to recognize some of the men and women who have had a real impact on the sport of rowing during the previous year. Award winners will be announced closer to the event date.
