USRowing Fall East Coast Speed Order
November 3-4, 2018

Events: M1x, W1x, LW1x, LM1x
Saturday: 6k erg test on Concept 2 (Fixed) Please note: Everyone is expected to participate in the 6k erg test in order to compete Sunday on the water. Times from the 6k will determine the start order for Sunday’s racing. Lightweight athletes will only be required to weigh in one time during the event– before the erg test on Saturday. No weigh-in will be required for Sunday’s racing.
Sunday: M1x, W1x, LW1x, LM1x, (On Water Distance: Approximately 4.25 kilometers). Start line will be on the North part of the Lake (2K Finish line) and will finish before the Washington Street Bridge (Before Princeton University Boathouse).
Boat Storage/Launching: Boats will need to be stored and launch from the sailing center on Lake Carnegie. The Sailing Center is located at the finish line of the 2K race course along route 27 (Princeton-Kingston Road).
Practice: The course will be open for practice Friday from 12:00pm-2:00pm. Practice Saturday is from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Please note that these times will be strictly enforced. Maps and traffic patterns will be posted.

9:00 am Athlete Meeting (a representative from each boat must be present or the entry will be scratched) at the Princeton Boathouse in front of the far left boat bays. DO NOT ARRIVE AT THE PRINCETON BOATHOUSE BEFORE 8:30 am.
9:30-10:30 am Weigh-in
6k Erg Tests (Start order for on-water racing will come from 6k results)
9:30 am Open Women 6K
10:15 am Open Men 6K
11:30 am Lightweight Men & Lightweight Women 6K

8:00 am: W1x, M1x, LW1x, LM1x,
– This is an informal racing opportunity for athletes.
– Timing will be provided by USRowing Staff.
– Results from both the 6K ergometer and on water racing will have no impact on selection for 2019.
– The Princeton Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, November 4. There will be no vehicle access to the Princeton Boathouse.
-Empower oarlocks will be allowed at this event, EMPOWER OARLOCKS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED AT ANY NSR, SPEED ORDER, OR TRIALS IN 2019
Carnegie Lake follows right-hand rule (counter-clockwise) at all times. The 2k Racing course consists of 4 buoyed lanes with Lane 1 closest to the launch site (western shore). For practice and racing, lanes 0 (outside the course) and 1 are for southerly traffic, lanes 4 and 5 (outside the course) are for northerly traffic. Lanes 2 and 3 are closed to all rowing traffic. When rowing under a bridge, do so in the right/center arch.
Weigh-ins: Weigh-ins will be conducted on Saturday, November 3 at the Princeton Boathouse. Lightweights will need to weigh-in between 1 and 2 hours before the scheduled ergometer piece. FISA Max Rules: Light Men – 72.5 kg; Light Women – 59kg. If an athlete fails to make weight, he or she will be allowed to race in the Open event. A scale will be available at the launch site for Friday practice.
**Please note that while the ECG & Health Screening requirement is NOT needed to participate in the Fall Speed Order, athletes expecting to compete in spring selection events will need to meet this requirement for the 2019 season.
