National Results: Finished third in the varsity eight at the 2001 NCAA Championships. 

Personal: Bernadette’s hobbies include reading, butterfly hunting with her daughter, and being with friends…Bernadette was a two-time CRCA DI First-Team All-American and an A-10 Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year, as well as a Rhodius Scholarship Finalist…She was also inducted into the University of Dayton Hall of Fame in 2009…Her most memorable sporting achievement was winning the eight at the World Championships…Bernadette’s husband, Brendan, was a USA cyclist in 1992 and 1993…The most influential person in her sporting career is Mike Caviston, who taught her how to train with discipline, perseverance, and patience…Bernadette hopes to win an Olympic medal and to have a wonderful family and marriage.
