Development camps are the first of many important steps for young athletes that aspire to compete at the elite level. Development camps are where national team coaches look for these potential candidates.
Why attend sculling camps?
Sculling is the best way to improve your sweep technique and offers more options for athletes to make a senior team.
The major goals of the camps are:
- to identify new talented athletes
- to teach correct sculling technique
- to provide an opportunity to race at the U.S. Nationals and Canadian Henley
The camps are geared toward physiologically gifted freshman, sophomores, and juniors in college who are very committed to compete at the elite level.
To apply for a development camp, please contact the camp coach directly. Send the following information:
- Date of birth
- Height
- Weight
- 6k and 2k erg scores
- Sculling experience
- Coach’s recommendation
The camp coaches will provide specifics for the camps, including duration and expenses.
