Three rowers with U.S. Senior National Team ties – Paul Daniels, Jamie Schroeder, and Jake Wetzel – led Oxford to a five-length victory over Cambridge on Sunday in the 152nd running of the Boat Race.
Oxford crossed the finish line in an 18:26, finishing 15 seconds ahead of pre-race favorite Cambridge. Cambridge held a slight lead at the one-mile post, but Oxford took the lead for good as the two crews passed under Hammersmith Bridge. It was Oxford’s second consecutive victory and fourth in the past five years.
