Personal: Suzanne is studying early childhood education at Clemson University and hopes to someday become a first-grade teacher. She was named a National Scholar Athlete from 2006 to 2008 and named to the All-ACC team in 2007 and 2008. She was also named to the 2008 South Region Team, 2008 All-American and served as 2008 Team Captain. One of her most memorable sporting achievements is receiving a bid to the 2008 NCAA Championships for the first time in the history of Clemson University. Suzanne enjoys spending time by the water, listening to music and volunteering at animal shelters. She started rowing after her high school rowing coach noticed she was wearing one of her sister’s rowing T-shirts and talked her into giving it a try. Suzanne lists her older sister, Alison, and her cousin, Kelly, who passed away from cancer this spring, as the most influential people in her life.
