National Results: Won the pair at the 2006 Under 23 National Team Trials…Finished ninth in the varsity eight at the 2005 NCAA Championships…Finished third in the varsity eight at the 2004 NCAA Championships…Won the varsity eight at the 2004 Big Ten Championships…Finished second in the varsity eight at the 2003 NCAA Championships…Won the varsity eight at the 2003 Big Ten Championships…Won the double sculls at the 2002 USRowing Youth Invitational.

Personal: Stesha is a first-time senior national team member…She competed one year with the junior national team and two years with the under 23 national team…Stesha enjoys reading and volunteering at the Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor…She won both the Maize & Blue Award and the Academic Achievement Award while at the University of Michigan…Her most memorable achievement in rowing was winning the Big Ten Championships in 2004 after being seeded fifth…Stesha lists her mother as her personal hero because she is a single mother of four and teaches non-athletic kids to run the Los Angeles Marathon…Stesha lists former UM and Senior National Team member Brett Sickler as the most influential person in her rowing career because Brett has proven that you don’t have to be big to excel in the sport…Stesha would like to someday make the Olympic Team and become a physical therapist.
