Personal: Richard began rowing because he was jealous of the medals his brother won in the sport, so he started to row to win medals of his own. Outside of rowing, Richard enjoys film making and extreme skiing. World Extreme Ski Champions Lee-Ann Patterson and Scott McLaine have been most influential in Richard’s athletic career because they have taught him a lot of life lessons. Richard hopes to keep improving in the sport and be the best in whatever event he enters.
