International Results: Placed fifth in the men’s eight at the 2006 FISA Under 23 World Championships.

National Results: Won silver in the men’s varsity eight at the 2007 IRA National Championships...Won a bronze medal at the 2007 PAC-10 Conference Championships...Won gold in the men’s varsity eight at the 2007 San Diego Crew Classic...Placed fi rst for collegiate and second overall in the championship four at the 2006 Head of the Charles...Won gold in the men’s varsity four with coxswain at the 2006 IRA National Championships...Won silver in the men’s varsity eight at the 2006 PAC-10 Championships...Won gold in the men’s varsity eight at the 2006 Windermere Crew Classic...Won the Copley Cup at the 2006 San Diego Crew Classic...Won gold in the men’s varsity four with coxswain at the 2005 IRA National Championships... Placed third in the junior varsity eight at the 2005 PAC-10 Championships...Placed fi fth in the freshman eight at the 2004 IRA Championships...Took second in the freshman eight at the 2004 PAC-10 Championships.

Personal: Nate lists his hobbies as metalworking, woodworking, bowling, automobiles, film, and music. His brother, Cooper Rooks, has been both his personal hero and inspiration within the sport of rowing. The success of his brother in the sport led Nate to try out rowing. Nate hopes to compete and succeed at the elite rowing level and then coach in the Northwest. His greatest sports memories include bowling a 236 and winning a silver medal in the men’s varsity eight at the 2007 IRA Championships.
