Personal: Michelle is an eight-time senior national team member and two-time Olympian...Michelle enjoys running, especially through new cities, cooking, yoga, foreign languages, travel, writing and English and American literature...Michelle played tennis in high school and began rowing in college when an ex-rower roommate convinced her to try it...At Radcliffe, Michelle ate Pop-Tarts for good luck before races or ergometer tests – a superstition that began her freshman year after she had them for breakfast before her first, and very successful, 2k erg test...Her personal hero is her mother...Michelle is currently employed at The Home Depot in Watertown, Mass., as part of the Olympic Job Opportunities Program...She is also an athlete ambassador for the international humanitarian organization Right To Play.
