Personal: Mara lists winning the women’s varsity eight at the 2005 NCAA Championships as her most memorable sporting achievement. She enjoys baking, grocery shopping and doing crossword puzzles in her spare time and is an active member of a bicycle gang. The most influential people in Mara’s life are her older brother and sister because they constantly challenged her to gain their respect growing up. Someday, she hopes to travel to all 50 states and open a restaurant.
