Personal: Karen is a first-time national team member…After initially wanting to play tennis, she was roped into rowing by her basketball teammate’s father…Karen would like to teach physical education and coach after her rowing career, in order to get kids excited about physical activity…Her most memorable sporting achievement is placing third in the women’s championship eight at the 2007 Head of the Charles Regatta behind the U.S. and Canadian national teams.
