Personal: Jamie was an Academic All-American from 2006 to 2008. She was an NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship winner in 2008. She lists winning the 2007 NCAA Championships to complete an undefeated collegiate rowing season and running the New York City Marathon as her most memorable sporting achievements. Before rowing, Jamie was an elite-level Nordic ski racer and competed in the 2001 and 2002 Junior Olympic Games. One of her role models is the Norwegian Nordic skier, Bjorn Daehlie, a 12-time Olympic medalist. She also admires cyclist Tyler Hamilton for racing with a broken collar bone and placing fourth in the 2003 Tour de France. Jamie enjoys skiing, playing the fiddle, running and quilting. After rowing, she hopes to run more marathons, continue playing the violin and become a physical therapist.
