International Results: Finished second in the senior eight and first in the senior single sculls at the 2008 Canadian Secondary School Rowing Association Championships…Finished fifth in the eight at the 2007 World Rowing Junior Championships…Finished second in the junior four with coxswain and fifth in the junior eight at the 2006 Canadian Henley…Finished second in the junior eight and junior four with coxswain at the 2006 Canadian Secondary School Rowing Association Championships.

National Results: Finished sixth in the varsity eight at the 2008 Scholastic Rowing Association National Championships…Won the intermediate eight and finished second in the senior eight at the 2007 USRowing Club National Championships…Finished second in eight and four with coxswain at the 2006 USRowing Youth National Championships.

Personal: Ian says he was hooked on rowing from the first practice…He lists the most influential person in his rowing career as his coach, Chris Czarnecki, “because he has been able to keep pushing me to new levels over the past four years”…His hobbies include golfing and fishing…His personal hero is Lance Armstrong...His most memorable sporting achievement is finishing second in the senior single sculls at the 2008 Canadian Secondary School Rowing Association Championships.
