Personal: Chris is a five-time senior national team member...Growing up in Montreal, Canada, Chris played hockey as a child and only took up rowing in high school after moving to Florida...Chris majored in information technology in college but also studied music through his elective work...He is an avid theatre fan and collects everything from opera and classical music to jazz, rock and R&B...One of his favorite musical experiences was seeing an authentic performance of Handel’s Messiah live in Oxford University’s 350 year-old Sheldonian Theater...While at Oxford earning his masters in environmental policy with a specific focus on water policy and management, he also competed in and won the 151st racing of the Oxford vs. Cambridge Boat Race...Chris is currently working part-time with Johnson & Johnson’s in-house counsel and hopes to build a profession in litigation upon the completion of his rowing career...He also currently handles managerial duties for his girlfriend, Gia Bocra, who played host to the nationally-aired television show, The Wandering Golfer...Chris’s long-term aspirations include practicing law, as well as possibly teaching...He also hopes to find a way to work to aid international global water scarcity through educational programs and large-scale water conservation projects...In his spare time, Chris enjoys listening to all kinds of music, reading and cooking.
