Personal: Anna lists her most memorable sporting achievement as the last 500 meters of her race at the 2007 World Championships. She enjoys being outside, hiking, kayaking, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, camping and adventure. Anna also loves traveling and would like to sail around the world someday. Anna grew up on a sheep farm in Maine and was home schooled until she was nine. Anna did not play organized sports until high school where she played soccer and basketball. An illustration major at Syracuse University, Anna hopes to illustrate children’s books when her rowing career is over. Anna plays the viola. She lists her mother as her personal hero. Anna was a Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-American, a National Scholar Athlete, a Big East Academic All-Star and an All-Region Selection from 2003-2005.
