USRowing Announces 2013 Under 23 Lightweight Men’s Sweep Camp Acceptances

PRINCETON, N.J. – USRowing is pleased to announce that 12 athletes have been accepted to the 2013 Lightweight Men’s Under 23 National Team Sweep Camp in Philadelphia, Pa., and West Windsor, N.J.
The camp, led by University of Pennsylvania lightweight men’s assistant coach Colin Farrell, will select the lightweight men’s four that will compete at the World Rowing Under 23 Championships July 24-28 in Linz, Austria. A full team roster will be named by July 10.
The U.S. won three medals at the 2012 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Trakai, Lithuania, including gold in the men’s and women’s eights and silver in the men’s four with coxswain. The lightweight men’s four finished seventh overall.
