The dinner, to be held Wednesday, November 14 at the New York Athletic Club in New York City, will honor excellence in the sport for 2012 and serve as a fundraiser for the U.S. National Team, as well as athletes of America Rows and USRowing adaptive programs.
"We are proud to support these outstanding athletes and congratulate them on their achievements at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. “The World Gold Council and Golden Oars are a natural partnership and we are excited to welcome their involvement in rowing for the first time,” said Beth Kohl, USRowing chief marketing officer. “As our Olympic team celebrates a golden year and looks toward future success, we share a common bond; maintaining the gold standard in everything we do.”
Seven USRowing awards and seven Fan's Choice awards will be given at the Golden Oars Dinner representing many of the top rowing organizations, clubs and universities from across the country.
