President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama to Honor 2012 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams

WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will welcome the 2012 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams, including 39 rowers, to the White House on Friday, September 14, to honor their participation and success in this year's Olympic and Paralympic Games in London.

The President's remarks honoring 2012 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. EDT at the White House South Lawn and are open press.

USRowing won three medals at the 2012 Olympic Games in London including gold in the women’s eight and bronze in the women’s quadruple sculls and men’s four. At the 2012 Paralympic Games, the trunk and arms mixed double sculls crew won bronze. For more information, visit www.usrowing.org.
