Long Skinny Boat Youth Introductory Camps, July 27-31 & August 2-7, 8 a.m.-noon at Lake Hall, are the perfect opportunity for beginning rowers (middle or high school) to learn the fundamentals of rowing including terminology, technique and teamwork. The experienced CCR coaching staff will provide team building land drills, in addition to on-the-water instruction for beginning rowers.

Description: The Big Red Rowing Camp is directed by Olympians and Cornell coaches Hilary Gehman, Matthew Smith and Chris Kerber, along with three-time national champion and EARC Coach of the Year, Todd Kennett. The camp is designed for boys and girls ages 15-18. Each athlete will be challenged to his/her technique and fitness level, while enjoying a fun camp experience. Coxwains receive direct feedback and instruction. Campers row twice each day out of Cornell’s two historic boathouses on beautiful Cayuga Lake. Campers take part in erg training, receive weight training education and video feedback. Campers receive a free Cornell camp T-shirt.

Description: The Hawk Rowing Camp is a “learn to row” program that introduces the Olympic sport of rowing to boys and girls ages 12 to 15 years old. The goal is to provide opportunities for students interested in learning about rowing in a non-competitive environment. The sessions teach individuals the mechanics of how to row with one oar (sweep rowing), which can also be applied to two-oared rowing (sculling). The program is designed to give each camper time to develop and improve rowing skills in a relaxed atmosphere. The students will gain an appreciation for the technical aspects of the sport, as well as the teamwork involved in moving eight oared rowing shells.

Description:
1) Three overnight rowing camps for girls 13-18 years old. Twenty-four hour supervision and all meals included. Saturday to Thursday, June 13-18, June 20-25, June 27-July 2. Row twice a day: briefs on performance enhancement, strength training and sports nutrition. NCAA eligibility, as well as ergometer technique. Both experienced rowers and complete novices welcome.

Description: Since 1971, teens and adults in the Providence metropolitan area have been taking classes in rowing and sculling classes at the Narragansett Boat Club. Our current edition of rowers follows a rowing and sculling progression from barge to Zephyr and into the club's flotilla of singles and sweeps boats. Description: The summer learn-to-row session is an introductory rowing class which focuses on the basic technique of the rowing stroke. Individuals will learn how to row on the indoor rowing machine, as well as on the water.
The OARS Boathouse is located on Main Street in Windermere, diagonally across the street from Windermere Elementary School. Rowers should be dropped off in the school parking lot and walk across the street to the boathouse.
Wear athletic clothes including spandex or fitness shorts, t-shirt, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses & tennis shoes. It is recommended that you bring a full water bottle. Spaces are limited, so sign up early!

Description: Are you looking for a rowing camp that will improve your skills, enable you to enhance your physiology and make you a better racer for next season? The Princeton Summer Rowing Camps are for you.
The Princeton coaching staff and several premier guest coaches are offering three, five-day rowing camps for male and female high school rowers. The camps are intentionally structured to simulate a typical week of practice during a collegiate racing season. In order to maximize each campers ability to improve, rowers will be organized according to their experience level, physiological capacity and gender throughout the week. Each rower will be comprehensively analyzed through the use of video, the ergometer and in boat racing situations. Coaches will work very closely with the rowers to establish loftier goals and by week's end; each camper will leave Princeton with the motivation to achieve a new level of speed. Rowing camps are open to all applicants between the ages of 14 and 18. Space is limited! These camps have sold out the last three years!

Description: RowPittsburgh is offering sculling camps for high school students, specializing in programs for both competitive and novice/recreational rowers. Practices will entail rowing on the water, weight training and running. On the water, coaches will provide helpful technique and performance enhancing instruction. Off the water discussions will review video footage taken on the water. Participants are invited to compete in the Independence Day Regatta in preparation for USRowing Club National Championships, although neither race is mandatory.

Description: The Sarasota Scullers Summer Rowing Camps provide teens with the opportunity learn a new sport, meet new friends and spend time outdoors having fun, staying fit and becoming part of one of the fastest growing team sports programs in Florida. Middle and high school participants will learn and participate in all aspects of rowing and sculling with professional instruction, coaching and a curriculum that combines fun, fitness, skill training and team building. A mini-regatta takes place the last Friday of each camp session -- bragging rights included!
A sport for anyone, even those who have not excelled in other athletic pursuits, teens have the opportunity to learn and then tryout for next year’s team, currently ranked #2 in the state of Florida based on the recent state championships held at Benderson Park in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. in April 2009. It is the only Florida rowing team with former Olympic rowers as coaches and the highest consistent medaling rowing team in the state.
