Information for Trials Winners

Athletes in non-priority boat classes who win berths at trials must submit in full, on site, a payment per athlete to cover the expenses of room and board, equipment, and local transportation during the World Championships. (See the 2013 Selection Procedures for a list of priority and non-priority boat classes.) Proposed coaches must also submit payment in the full amount on site. The fee per athlete is $4,250, and $2,940 per coach. This amount includes boats delivered to Chungju but does not include airfare.

All athletes and coaches named to the team must present their valid passport on site. If you do not have a passport or your passport is expired, please be sure to start the renewal/application process in advance of trials.

All Trial Winners are invited to join us for a send off party at the Caspersen Rowing Center the evening of Wednesday, August 7th, at 6:30pm. Dinner will be served.

Parking:

All vehicles must park in the lot and in defined parking spots. Boat trailers may park along the dirt access road behind the boathouse. No other vehicles are allowed behind the boathouse. Emergency vehicles need to have a clear path from the paved road all the way to the tree line behind the boathouse. Any vehicle not following the outlined parking rules will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Participants are not allowed to drive behind the boathouse in order to unload equipment. Please walk your equipment from the designated parking zones to the boat storage area.

Boat Storage:

All boats must be stored outside on the rack space provided or in personal slings or on club trailers. There is limited rack space available at the facility and visiting competitors will not have access to boat bays. Please be mindful of emergency access roads and walkways. Equipment that is blocking a path may be moved.
