USRowing is pleased to once again offer the USRowing NW Masters Development Sweep Camp June 26-29, 2008, at the University of Washington in Seattle. This is the sixth year for the camp, and it has been a tremendous success. Men and women have attended from all over the U.S. to work on technique and strength training under the tutelage of some of our finest college coaches.
Bob Ernst and Erica Schwab will be the head coaches for the camp. Ernst has been coaching at the University of Washington for over 33 years. He is the only collegiate coach to have led both the men’s varsity and women’s varsity to national championships. In addition, he coached the 1984 Olympic women's eight to a gold medal in Los Angeles. Schwab rowed for the University of Washington and is in her fifth year of coaching at UW. She has coached the novice women's eight to victory or a second-place finish each year at the Pac-10 Championship Regatta.
The camp consists of two full days and one half-day of on-the-water training and video review with coach discussion, as well as strength and core training. This camp provides a unique opportunity to train at the new state-of-the-art Conibear Shellhouse with top collegiate coaches.
This camp fills up fast, so if you are interested please contact Suzanne Lewis at suz.lewis@sbcglobal.net.
