*Please RSVP to sarahelithe@gmail.com one week prior to the camp*

(RSVP is not required, but it is recommended so we can e-mail you any updates)

These camps will be instructional with a focus on providing insight into what is required of our best junior women rowers and coxswains and the tools to achieve success at the international level. Our national team coaches will work hard to demonstrate ways the athletes can improve and to help athletes discover that the junior national team is both attainable and fun.

Highlights of the ID Camp program include:

* The Junior Women’s National Team -- who we are and what the selection camp and development camp are all about (open to parents and coaches).

* The learning experience of the 2007 Junior World Championships with a question and answer session with a member of the 2007 squad -- where members are available. (Open to parents and coaches).

* Expectations and things you can do to become a more effective rower/coxswain including how to use tapes (both audio and video) for feedback, technique issues and review/demonstrations of core strengthening/circuit training exercises (open to coaches).

Special note for coxswains:  If possible, please bring some audio of your coxing (on tape or CD) to the ID camp. The audio should include one race piece (1,500m or 2,000m) and 10 minutes of practice.  If it is not possible to get audio from a recent race prior to the ID camp, you may mail it to Sarah Cannon (contact info below) by early April. Also, each prospective coxswain should have a letter / e-mail of recommendation brought to the ID camp or mailed to Sarah Cannon.

All participants must be current members of USRowing and have a birth year between 1990 and 1993.

To obtain or renew a membership to USRowing, please visit the Web site at www.usrowing.org or contact member services at 800-314-4769. Each participant must bring a signed USRowing waiver that can be downloaded from the USRowing Web site.
