Coaches:
The USRowing Youth Advisory Committee is seeking a volunteer to serve in an at-large position on the committee. At-large members are voted on by the current committee of regional representatives. Selected candidates serve for a three-year term.
If you are interested in serving, you must be able to respond to 10 e-mails per month, attend two conference calls, and two yearly meetings at the USRowing Convention and Youth National Championships. You must have been a 2005 USRowing member. If interested, send Allen Eubanks, YAC Chair, an e-mail to coach@orra.org by Friday, March 3. Please include a brief bio and list your interest in serving on the committee.
The YAC works to enhance all domestic junior rowing (anyone under the age of 18). We support any type of team structure, whether it is school or club based. This past fall, we petitioned the Board of Directors to upgrade the status of the Youth Invitational, turning it into a true USRowing National Championships. In addition, we reviewed and updated the national progression. Currently, we are in the process of advising the board and the director on how better serve the junior population of USRowing. |
