2012 Olympic Day Meet and Greet

 

Join us on Sunday, June 24 for the 2012 Olympic Day Meet and Greet. Athletes that will be competing at the 2012 Olympic Games in London will be introduced following the inaugural Go For the Gold 5k and Fun Run. Free team posters, trading cards and photo opportunities will be available.

11:00 a.m. Awards presentation by 2012 U.S. Olympic rowers
11:30-1 p.m. Announcement of 2012 U.S. Olympic Rowing Team and Olympic Day Meet and Greet

Olympic Day is a worldwide commemoration of Baron Pierre de Coubertin’s June 23, 1894, convening of the first International Olympic Committee (IOC) meeting at the Sorbonne in Paris, and the founding of the Modern Olympic Games. National Olympic Committees (NOCs) throughout the world will also participate in the international celebration, with each Olympic Committee sending Olympic Day greetings to participating nations.
