California, Western Washington and Trinity Remain on Top of Women’s Rowing Polls
The University of California at Berkeley claimed the top spot in this week’s USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association NCAA Division I Varsity Eight Coaches Poll, while Western Washington University and Trinity College topped the Division II and III polls, respectively.
In Division I, California picked up 17 first-place votes to remain atop the poll. Yale garnered eight first-place votes to rank second. Virginia ranked third, followed by Washington and Southern California.
For the fourth consecutive week, Western Washington was a unanimous choice for the top spot in the Division II poll, receiving all six first-place votes. Dowling College ranked second, while Nova Southeastern ranked third.
Trinity College received six of 10 first-place votes to remain atop the Division III poll. Williams College ranked second, followed by the United States Coast Guard Academy, Bates College and Ithaca College. Williams received the remaining four first-place votes.

Washington, Cornell and Princeton Top This Week’s Men’s Eight, Men’s Lightweight Eight and Women’s Lightweight Eight Polls
The University of Washington and Cornell University topped the first USRowing Men’s Varsity Eight and Men’s Lightweight Varsity Eight collegiate coaches’ polls of the season, while Princeton University remained on top of the USRowing Women’s Varsity Lightweight Eight Collegiate Coaches Poll.
Washington, the defending IRA Champions, was the unanimous choice for the top spot in the first men’s varsity eight poll of the year. The Huskies received all 20 first-place votes. Princeton ranked second, followed by Harvard, California and Brown.
Princeton earned nine of 11 first-place votes to take the top spot in this week’s women’s lightweight eight poll. Stanford ranked second, followed by Georgetown, Radcliffe and Bucknell. Stanford and Bucknell each received one first-place vote.
In the first men’s lightweight eight poll of the year, Cornell edged out Yale for the top spot. Cornell received six first-place votes, while Yale ranked second with five first-place votes. Navy took the third spot, while Princeton and Harvard tied for the No. 4 ranking.
