Washington Tops Men’s Eight Poll; Princeton and Yale Top Lightweight Polls The University of Washington once again topped this week’s USRowing Men’s Varsity Eight collegiate coaches’ poll, while Princeton University and Yale University earned the No. 1 ranking in USRowing’s women’s varsity lightweight eight and men’s varsity lightweight eight coaches polls, respectively.
Washington earned 15 of 21 first-place votes to keep the top spot in the men’s varsity eight poll. Brown University ranked second, followed by Wisconsin, Harvard and Princeton. Brown received one first-place vote, while Wisconsin received the other five.
Princeton received nine of 11 first-place votes to earn the top spot in this week’s women’s lightweight eight poll. Stanford ranked second, followed by Radcliffe and Georgetown. Stanford received the other two first-place votes.
Yale earned the top ranking in this week’s men’s lightweight eight poll. Yale received nine of 10 first-place votes. Princeton, which received the other first-place vote, ranked second, followed by Navy, Cornell and Dartmouth.
