Coaching Clinics

Below is the current list of clinics. Please be aware that we add and, occasionally, have to cancel clinics due to demand.

USRowing individual membership is required to attend USRowing clinics. You may join or renew online at the top of the page.

New Clinic Information for 2009

  • Level I and II clinics will be one day clinics.
  • Coaching manuals must be read prior to the clinic. We have put the coaching manuals online and when you register you will get the link to the manuals. You will receiv e a paper copy when you arrive at the clinic.
  • USRowing membership is required to access the manual page.
  • CPR and first aid are required to receive the Level I certificate. CPR, first aid and boating safety are required for Level II certification. You do not have to obtain the certifications prior to the clinic. If you have copies, you may give them to the clinician or you can mail or email them later to Willie Black.

Junior National Team Camp Coaching Ed Program

 

All sessions filled very quickly, thank you for your interest in the program and the financial support of the Jr. National Teams. 

 

Junior Women – New London, Conn.

Six coaches maximum per session.

 

Full Session 1 -- Arrive in time for dinner June 29, camp runs June 30-July 2 (selection and development group).

 

Full Session 2 -- Arrive in time for dinner July 6, camp runs July 7-9 ("B" travel team group).

Two coaches maximum per session (all sessions are selection camp group).

Level I Coaching Clinic

Head Racing and More.

Location: DC Area

Learn about head racing plus technique, rigging, and, injury prevention and more.  This program will be open to all coaches and rowers, it is not a certification clinic but can be used to fulfill continuing education credits.

 

Level I and II Coaching Clinic

Location: Portland, Ore

 

 

 

USRowing Annual Convention

Location:  Tempe Arizona

Date: December 3-5th

Level I, II, III and Advanced Coaching Programs will be offerend.  Join us in the warm desert for 3 full days of coaching education and socializing in a resort setting.
