Schwanger Wins Berth on 2007 Adaptive National Team

Philadelphia Rowing Program for the Disabled’s Laura Schwanger earned a berth on this year’s USRowing Adaptive National Team on Saturday, June 23, by winning the women’s arms-only single sculls at the 2007 USRowing National Championships. Schwanger defeated Patty Rollison, last year’s world championships silver medalist, by 8.30 seconds. She covered the course in a 7:04.50, with Rollison finishing in a 7:12.80. Schwanger will be competing in the event at the 2007 FISA World Rowing Championships in late August in Munich, Germany.
