Basic Membership (Formerly Waiver-Only Profile)
What is Basic Membership?
Basic Membership, which is free, has replaced the waiver-only profile. Free Basic Membership allows you to sign a waiver and compete at all registered regattas. The entire list of benefits is as follows:
electronic registration and release form (waiver). No need to file
waivers at each registered regatta, as USRowing’s national office will
manage your waiver for you.
- Ability to row in all registered
regattas. (Rowers must be Championship Members to be eligible to
participate at USRowing-hosted events.)
- Access to USRowing’s
new recruiting database, which will allow junior rowers a “one-stop
shop” opportunity to provide pertinent information to college and
university rowing programs and provide junior rowers and parents a
resource to research collegiate programs to help find the best fit for
their future rowing endeavors.
- Our monthly e-newsletter: USRowing This Month is our timely and informative e-newsletter that is e-mailed every month.
- Sport liability coverage.
What is my Basic Membership number?
If you signed a waiver in the past, you have been assigned a Basic Membership number. If you forgot your Basic Membership number, you can locate it online here. If you are still having trouble, call USRowing’s main line at 1-800-314-4769 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is my password?
Your default password is your zip code. If you changed your password from its default setting and can’t remember it, call the USRowing main line at 1-800-314-4769 or e-mail email@example.com.
Can I renew my Basic Membership number?
Yes, you can renew your Basic Membership number at http://www.usrowing.org/join.aspx.
Can I update my profile even though I have a Basic Membership number?
Yes. Please provide us with your most up to date information. You can do this from the Members Only page at: http://www.usrowing.org/MembersOnly.aspx.
Can I compete in an USRowing-hosted event with a Basic Membership number?
No. To compete in an USRowing-hosted event, you must have a paid Championship Membership with USRowing. A list of hosted events can be found at http://www.usrowing.org/Events.aspx.
If I have multiple Basic Membership (formerly waiver) numbers, which one do I use or renew?
It’s ok if you have multiple Basic Membership numbers. If you are unsure which number to renew, check with your coach to see which number he or she has stored in your profile with RegattaCentral. If he or she doesn’t use RegattaCentral, you can renew whichever waiver number you choose. Please note: If you have a Championship Member number, you should sign your wavier under that number and NOT obtain a Basic Membership number.
What’s the difference between a Championship Membership and a Basic Membership?
Championship Membership is a membership you pay for, giving you eligibility to receive many member benefits including the ability to race at USRowing-hosted events. A Basic Membership is a FREE membership, which provides the basic benefits listed above.
