2018 U19 National Team Job Opportunities

Below are postings for multiple summer jobs related to the 2018 USRowing U19 National Team:

 

US Men’s U17, U18, U19 Coaches – Summer 2018

The US Men’s U17, U18, & U19 program is accepting applications for coaches. Positions are available at each level to help the overall mission of the program; developing athletes capable of podium level performance at the Junior World Championships.

Strong candidates will:

– Have an established record of successful athlete development

– Be comfortable working as part of a coaching team

– Understand the infrastructure of the U19 program

US Women’s U19 RA Positions – Summer 2018

The US Women’s U17, U18, & U19 program is accepting applications for residential assistants. Positions are available at each level to help the overall mission of the program; developing athletes capable of podium level performance at the Junior World Championships.

Qualifications:

– Must be female, as living among high school athletes

– Must be 21 years of age & have a drivers license

– Have an established record as a successful athlete at the DI, DII or DIII level

– Successful completion of USOC SafeSport Program & NCSI background screening

– Be available from June 14th to July 15th for supervision of athletes

Duties & Responsibilities:

– Understand the infrastructure of the U19 program

– Responsible for oversight of athletes when not rowing

– Plans outings as requested by the head coach

– Promotes respect by example through appearance, manners, behavior, language,

conduct and sportsmanship both on and off the water

– Provide by example leadership, loyalty, professionalism, motivational techniques, and

attitudes that help to produce positive efforts by camp participants while not on the

water

– Maintains discipline and works to increase morale and cooperation within the camp

– Properly supervise athletes in transit and at contests
