Uniforms, domestic entry fees, Rowing specific coaching, boat insurance, rowing facilities and rowing equipment access.
Not Covered: Housing, meals, travel expenses, strength and conditioning coach, USRowing U23 Team qualifiers expenses.
Athlete/Coxswain qualification criteria
Selection will be based on erg score (minimum score for 2K 7:24 / 5k 19:15 (or equivalent); years of rowing (minimum of 2); and/or coach recommendation.
Camp Objective and Development Plan
In 2017 Union BC will host an Under 23 Lightweight Development Camp at Boston University’s DeWolfe Boathouse. This program provides a setting in which female lightweight athletes can develop the technical, physiological, and tactical skills to improve as a rower at the university and elite levels. Those invited will train alongside top athletes from colleges and universities throughout the United States, fostering a competitive environment and encouraging individuals to perform at a high level. Strong emphasis will be placed on fine tuning boat-moving mechanics, fundamental strength and endurance, and of course, having some fun along the way.
