Under 19 Men’s ID Camps

The Men’s U19 National Team will hold identification camps to help select oarsmen and coxswains for the 2019 U19 National Team that will compete in Tokyo, Japan on August 7 – 11, 2019. These camps also serve as identification opportunities for the US CanAmMex Team (U18), High Performance Camp (U18) and Regional Olympic Development Program (ODP) Camps (U17/U18)

These camps are open to all athletes from all programs and we highly encourage those new to the sport to attend to see where they stand and to prepare for future opportunities.  The coaching staff aim to hold every ID Camp on the same weekend each year. Invitation for the various U19NT Camps will be based on the standards provided below.

 2019 U19 Men’s Standards by Age

1) Athletes interested in earning an invite to a National Team camp must attend at least one ID Camp.

2) You must pre-register for ID Camps. Registration is on RegattaCentral, under camps and clinics, listed as a USRowing event.

3)  Coxswains, please understand that International Racing weight is 121.5 for male coxswains and we need coxswains that can be healthy and happy at 121.5 pounds to be considered for a USRowing U19 National Team camp.

4) Athletes MUST be US Citizens to participate in ID Camps.

In addition to attending the ID Camps to meet the coaches and perform in front of them, athletes are encouraged to submit erg scores via this form.

Head Coach, US U19 Men’s National Team: Casey Galvanek, USU19MensNT@gmail.com

The U19 National Team coaches are giving oarsmen ample opportunity to be identified. We will provide plenty of instruction along the way and we will work hard to help athletes improve over the course of the identification and selection process. Please check www.usrowing.org for periodic updates to this page.

If you’d like to update the USU19NT on your progress, please fill out this form so that we make sure we have all the right information on you!
